Learning Technologies

Our school has a comprehensive computer network. Each classroom has at least four computers connected to the network and students have access to a bank of ten computers in the library. Each computer connected to the network has access to the schools broadband internet connection, which provides students with filtered access to a powerful research tool.
The majority of the schools computers run Windows XP, with the exception of some older computers, which still use Windows 98. 10 laser printers are located at various points through out the school, with 3 colour printers also on the network.
Some of our senior children form a group called T.O.P.S. (Teaching Other Primary Students). These children are taught specific computer skills and then act as mentors assisting other students and teachers throughout the school.
A group of year 5/6 children have been working on a Global Classroom project about space. They have developed some quizzes to test your knowledge. Click on the picture of the planets to look at their work.
