The Open Day morning was successful in showcasing the talents and skills of our student body. Our senior school leaders presented a PowerPoint presentation and showed our prospective 2022 Prep Parents around the school. They were confident, well organised and excellent examples of the citizens we produce here at LRPS.
We had a really good turn out on Tuesday night to the Treasure Hunt Open Night. The children and parents appeared to really appeared to enjoy themselves as they went around to each classroom, searching for clues.
We thank everyone for once again supporting such events.
On behalf of the Junior School Council we would like to say thank you and well done to our staff, students, parents and members of our school community who have helped contribute to our ‘Give a Damn, Give a Can’ campaign again this year.
Liddiard Road Primary School has been a part of this project since it begun over 20 years ago. The Traralgon Central Rotary Club hosts this event each year for the St Vincent De Paul society, and our school and our community have collected a vast amount of cans every year since it first began. Every school in Traralgon participates in the event and this year our school came under some fierce competition, however, when the collection time ceased, Liddiard Road Primary had collected over 1160 cans. Congratulations once again on a fine effort.
We are planning as if this is going ahead, but under current restrictions, swimming indoors is not permitted. We are hopeful that this restriction is lifted, allowing us to run this program. If this is not the case, monies paid will be refunded.
Next Friday (June 25th) will be a student free day. Please note that staff will be at school planning for Term 3 on this day.
NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
