Congratulations to the following students who received their Principal Awards earlier this week: Hayley Smedley, Baylen Napier, Nash Apted, Armando Cooper, Millie Capes, Lincoln Moss, Ali Thomas, Lee Richards, Adhieu Mayen, Arthur Harrison, Cole Florimell- Smith, Victoria Worsley, Cordell Willoughby and Elarah Nicholls- Stevens.
Just a reminder that we are currently taking Prep 2022 enrolments and are still happy to schedule tours if you know of anyone who may not yet have had the opportunity. If you have a sibling starting at Liddiard Road next year please ensure you complete and send your enrolment form into the office.
Due to restrictions the concert committee has made the decision to turn to Plan B for concert this year. As much as we would like an audience for the kids, it does not seem viable with the ever-changing restrictions.
Rather than cancelling the concert and all the effort our students have put in so far, they will still perform the concert for each other, and we have decided to film the concert instead. The filming will be more advanced than in other years as we will have the flexibility of zooming, different angles, and double takes. We are hoping to have a public viewing of the video early term 4, subject to restrictions.
Mr. Price, Mrs. Smythe and Miss Hughes are all on Long Service Leave this term. Mr. Price will return next week, whilst Mrs. Smythe and Miss Hughes will be away the whole term. We wish them all the best on their travels.
At this stage we are able to attend Camps where we are the only user. Our Grade 3 / 4 Camp meets this requirement, however our Grade 5/6 Melbourne Camp does not. The grade 5/6 team is now in the process of trying to find an alternative experience for the Grade 5/6 students as the likelihood of restrictions being lifted in this space seems very unlikely in the current climate. We will keep you posted.
Just a reminder that the Parent Opinion Survey is currently being offered to parents on line. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
This year the Parent Opinion Survey will finish this Sunday August 22nd.
