The School Council has approved the following student free days in 2024.
Please note that there will be another Student Free Day to be allocated for a Professional Practice day next year.
LAST DAY 2023
We will dismiss students from school Wednesday 20th December at 1.15pm. Please note that there will be no buses operating.
Based on current enrolment numbers, the Grade structure and class teachers assigned to these classes next year will be the following:
2 x Prep/1 – Miss. Langan and Miss. Rippon
3 x 1/ 2 – Miss Playdon, Mrs. Hicks and Mrs. Perryman
1 x 2/3 and 3 x 3/4 – Miss Millard, Miss. Amy Harrison, Mr. Mildenhall and Mrs. Jennings
4 x 5/6 – Mrs. McDonald, Mr. Barbour, Miss Megan Harrison and Miss. McKay
Art – Mrs. Fenech
ICT – Mrs. Wells
PE – Miss. Woskoboenko
Science/Maths – Mrs. Francis
Learning Tutors – Mrs. Jewell, Miss McMillan and Mrs. Poxon.
Please note that Miss Dabelstein, Mrs. Laws, Mrs. Brans and Mrs. Ronalds will not be joining us next year. We would like to thank them for their contributions and wish them all the best in their endeavours in 2024.
To offset this, we have been busy interviewing new teachers to fill these positions. Now that the process is completed, I’m sure that the Liddiard Road School Community would like to welcome the following ‘new staff’ members aboard next year.
Scott Mildenhall, Kimberley Perryman, Megan Harrison and Alison Wells
Please note that Mrs. Francis will also be back after a period of leave.
We know that these teachers will be a welcome addition to our school and look forward to working with them in 2024.
Last Friday December 15, the Grade 6 Graduation was held at the Traralgon Bowling Club. The students were dressed in their finest and acquitted themselves well on the day. We congratulate all of our Grade 6 students and wish them all the best with the next phase of their school life. Their persistence and resilience will hold them in good stead moving forward.
Our Swimming program for Year Prep – 2 students finished this week. The students participated successfully throughout the two weeks learning a range of some swim and survival techniques at the Ford Swim centre.
Last week we had our whole school Transition Day. As part of this day our Year 6 students attended the Secondary College and our 2024 Preps attended for a morning session.
The 2024 Preps were genuinely excited to meet their teachers and experience a morning in a Primary School classroom and we look forward to them starting next year.
