On behalf of the Junior School Council we would like to say thank you and well done to our staff, students, parents and members of our school community who have helped contribute to our ‘Give a Damn, Give a Can’ campaign again this year.
Liddiard Road Primary School has been a part of this project since it begun over 20 years ago. The Traralgon Central Rotary Club hosts this event each year for the St Vincent De Paul society, and our school and our community have collected a vast amount of cans every year since it first began. Every school in Traralgon participates in the event and this year our school came under some fierce competition, however, when the collection time ceased, Liddiard Road Primary had collected over 1200 cans. Congratulations once again on a fine effort.
The 3/4 Swimming program commences later this term at the Ford Swim Centre. The program on offer will be conducted by fully qualified staff and give students the opportunity to develop their swimming and water safety skills. Whist most things will remain the same (eg. cost), students will be required to wear a bathing cap for hygiene and pool cleanliness reasons. Students can bring their own caps or the pool will provide a cap for each swimmer.
(Friday 7th June)
On Friday 7th June we have School Council Closure Day here at school. Staff will be at school working collaboratively to set future teaching direction. As a result of this, there will no students required at school.
Please note that Monday 10th June is the King’s Birthday holiday, and as such, there will be no school.
Please note that the traffic island in the service lane on Liddiard Road is not a car parking place or a space for you to drop off your children. By parking on the traffic island you are putting not only your children but others at risk. The Latrobe City Parking Inspectors have fined individuals for parking illegally there before and will no doubt do so in the future. Please refrain from parking on the traffic island in the service lane for the safety of all of our students and school community.
