Physical & Outdoor Education

We provide opportunities for children to develop a variety of personal, social and physical skills through our Physical Education and Outdoor Education programs.

Physical Education Program
Our Physical Education Program encompasses the areas of body co-ordination, endurance, ball skills, athletics, as well as major and minor ball games.  These facets are designed to build up body strength, mobility, flexibility and fundamental skills.  It is therefore essential that children be suitably dressed to enable maximum participation and benefit.

The school provides opportunities for sporting excellence with representative teams competing in many sporting areas.

House Competition & LRPS Athletics Sports

Each year, Liddiard Road Primary School holds a house competition sports day. All children in Prep to Year 6 compete in their age groups in a variety of track and field events. A trophy is awarded to the winning house and also to the house that has the most success in the relays.

Traralgon District Athletics
Our school is part of the Traralgon cluster along with the other state, catholic and private primary schools in Traralgon.  Each year our children compete in their age groups in the Traralgon District Sports Day held at the Harold Preston Little Athletics field.

Zone Athletics
Children who place 1st or 2nd in their event at the Traralgon District Athletics are invited to compete at the Inter-School Athletics Carnival at Newborough.
