Disability Support Programs

Liddiard Road Primary provides support to ensure that students with disabilities and special needs participate in all aspects of school life.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is committed to improving the learning outcomes of all students, by acknowledging and catering for their diverse learning needs. The key element of this commitment is an emphasis on improving the learning outcomes for students with disabilities and additional learning needs including strategies that ensure inclusive practices are in place in schools.

Liddiard Road Primary School provides such support to ensure that students with disabilities and special needs participate in all aspects of school life and are valued members of our school community. Teachers, school leaders and families work together to support students with additional needs to achieve their potential and focus strongly on the teaching-learning relationship.

Educational needs are closely monitored and reviewed and meaningful goals are set.

Additional resources may be utilised through student support services including psychologists, special education teachers, speech pathologists, visiting teachers or through identified outside agencies.
